The previous record of ‘Fastest speed dragged behind a motorcycle’ was set in 1999 by Gary Rothwell of Liverpool, who reached a speed of 156.3mph at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Leicester.
Jonny surpassed his hero's record on the 18th August 2024 at 'The Ultimate Supercar Show' in Elvington with a speed of 159.5mph, securing his third Guinness World Record.

HANDLEBAR WHEELIE
Jonny’s goal of breaking the Guinness World Record for the ‘fastest motorcycle handlebar wheelie’ was envisioned back in 2019. This was no mean feat. He needed to purchase a 1000cc motorcycle capable of high speed wheelies, full race rider wear, race licences, bike modifications and have nerves of steel.
But in 2020, Jonny successfully completed a 109mph wheelie whilst sitting on the petrol tank with both legs over the handlebars, breaking the current world record and earning his entry into the 2022 Guinness World Record book.
This gained high levels of global news and media coverage, broadcasting on multiple news channels and radio stations around the world.
At the 2022 British Motor Show, Jonny teamed up with Stunt Driver Paul Swift to break the Guinness World Record for the most donuts around a motorcycle performing a wheelie in front of thousands of spectators at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference centre.
Jonny had to hold his nerves and holding a circle wheelie for 1 minute whilst Paul donated around him with minimum gap between his car and Jonny’s motorbike. Together they managed a total of 10, setting a new Guinness World Record and should feature in the 2024 Guinness World Record book.
